DANIEL E. JOHNSON
GUITARIST
SINGER
Growing up in Thomson, Georgia, Daniel E. Johnson was surrounded by music. Johnson’s first experience with music was playing drums in a punk-rock band as a teenager. He lived less than a mile away from the local radio station WTHO. This is where Johnson would often visit and occasionally perform on the station’s airwaves. While attending college at Georgia Southern, Johnson began playing and developing his own music. “I loved a lot of the artists from Georgia, like Alan Jackson,” he recalls. “But, what really got me hooked was the artists that were emerging at the time, such as Eric Church, Dierks Bentley, and The Zac Brown Band,” Johnson said. From that point on, Johnson developed his skills by performing around town. This eventually led to recording his first projects in Atlanta. Since then, Johnson who describes his music as “modern Country with a Southern Rock edge,” has had the chance to open for acts such as Luke Combs, Lee Brice, Riley Green and Cole Swindell and is poised to release his brand new EP, All We Ever Knew on iTunes on August 31, 2018, and the debut single, “American Hearts” on August 10, 2018.
