Quick Six with Rony Feliz

Check out our "Quick Six" Q&A with Anthology Artist Rony Feliz

We thought it would be fun to get to know a little bit more about our Anthology Artists. Watch the video or check out the "Quick Six" Q&A below with Rony Feliz, guitarist for Pitbull:

  1. First concert you attended? The first official concert that I attended was The Roots and Gym Class Heroes. And shortly after I went to go see Jay-Z and Mary J. Blige. And then I saw John Mayer in The Battle Studies Tour.
  2. How old were you when you started playing the guitar? I started rapping when I was about 9 and I picked up the guitar about 15.
  3. Venue you would love to play at (or a dream venue that you have already played at)? My favorite venue that I've played at so far has definitely been Red Rocks and Madison Square Garden hands down.
  4. Artist or song you are into most right now? The artist or song that's heavy in the playlist right now is definitely Lettuce, just because I saw them recently live, and Allen Stone.
  5. Do you have any pre-show rituals or superstitions? I don't have any pre-show rituals or superstitions but I just make sure that before every show I pray. I just take a moment to ground myself, to think about my family, think about the opportunity, think about all of the people that are there that sacrifice something to make it there, and just put myself in a space where I'm in gratitude.
  6. Who has inspired you most as a musician? I would have to say MJ hands down is my favorite musician artist of all time. His artistry, his professionalism, his stage presence, his attention to detail, everything about him is just ... they can't replicate it. Every hero of mine has looked at him as a reference. And he's the king for a reason.
