Quick Six with Jeff Nisen

Check out our "Quick Six" Q&A with Anthology Artist Jeff Nisen

We thought it would be fun to get to know a little bit more about our Anthology Artists. Here's the "Quick Six" Q&A with Jeff Nisen, guitarist/singer/songwriter/producer from Hermosa Beach, CA currently touring with the reggae band Pepper:

  1. First concert you attended?
James Taylor at the Greek Theater around 1999.
  1. How old were you when you started playing the guitar?
    12.
  1. Venue you would love to play at (or a dream venue that you have already played at)?
My favorites to play are Red Rocks (Colorado), Pier 17 (New York), and Hayden Holmes Amphitheater (Oregon). I’d love to play Staples Center — I know it’s Crypto Arena or whatever now but will always be Staples in my mind.
  1. Artist or song you are into most right now?
My daughter was just born so I’ve been singing her “Here There and Everywhere” by the Beatles to go to sleep every night.
  1. Do you have any pre-show rituals or superstitions?
Not really, I usually just try to have a guitar in hand about 2 hours before set time and warm up casually from there.
  1. Who has inspired you most as a musician?
Randy Rhoads and Stevie Ray Vaughan.
